Bobbie Jean (Kahlstrom) Hill, 62, died at the Bel-Aire Health Center in Newport on Sunday, October 11, 2015.
She was born on February 25, 1953, in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was the daughter of Robert and Doris (Wood) Kahlstrom.
She attended school in Orleans at Lake Region Union High School. On November 24, 1982, she married Dean W. Hill Sr., who predeceased her in January 2013.
Ms. Hill loved crafts, such as making jewelery and painting, to name a few. She loved animals (especially her miniature pinscher Bella), shopping, music, and learning about Native American culture, since her family background is Cherokee.
She will be remembered by her family and friends as a genuine, caring, and loving person who will be greatly missed.
She is survived by one daughter, Sharmin Hill and her companion, Chris Hardy, of Orleans; two sons: James Begin and his wife, Shannon, of Florida, and Chuck Hill of Newport Center; four stepsons: Dean Hill Jr. of Newport, William Hill of Sutton, Kevin Hill and his wife, Carolyn, of Sheffield, and Tim Hill and his companion, Tassie Blondin, of Essex; one stepdaughter Doreen Hill of Orleans; one brother David Kahlstrom and his wife, Gina, of Newport; two sisters: Debra Breault and her husband, Patrick, of Westfield, and Mary Geraw and her husband, Chuck, of Plaski, New York; and by her sister-in-law Dwanetta Bickford of Derby. She is also survived by two granddaughters: Diamond Begin and Cheyenne Begin of Florida.
Upon request by the family there will be no services. A remembrance of Ms. Hill’s life will be held at a later date.

Gilberta “Bet” Doris Quintal, 88, of Newport, died peacefully on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at North Country Hospital with family by her side.
She was born on December 28, 1926, in Jay, daughter of Arthur and Gertrude (Belle) Quintal.
She spent a lot of time with Albert and Noella Boudreau, and Paul and Cecile Boudreau in helping them raise their families, and later moved in with Harry and Pauline Forest in North Troy.
In 1960, she moved in with her sister Lena in Newport Center, and helped her with the milking and other chores.
She loved hard work and would take vacations in East Kingston, New Hampshire, to help her brother, Louie and his family. During this period, she also worked at Indian Head, and in 1966 worked at Orleans Manufacturing. In 1973, Ms. Quintal worked at Butterfields until her retirement in 1988.
After retiring, she kept active by working at the Brook View Gardens in Barton with Audrey Rockwell until 2007.
Ms. Quintal is survived by several relatives, Roland and Thomas Deslandes, Robert Quintal, Dennis Quintal, Sally Ann (Quintal) Guilmette, Julie (Quintal) Warren, Julie Mossa, Pauline Sanville, along with many friends from her retirement community on Elm Street in Newport.
She was predeceased by her sister Lena Normandin of Newport; her brother Louie Quintal from East Kingston; her nieces: Beatrice (Normandin) Deslandes, and Lisa Deslandes; her nephew Louis Quintal Jr.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 23, at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Newport.
